Sunday was the Primary Program. As always, it was a great meeting. Jessie and Brennan both did their parts well. They also had solos in "Follow the Prophet." They each sang half of the last verse. There were also 2 songs, one just the older boys and the other just the older girls, so of course they participated in that, as well.
When Jessie and Brennan were at the front to do their solos, we heard from the back of the chapel a very excited, "I see Jessie!" from Lucy, Jessie's most devoted disciple. The same thing happened last year...
Aside from the Primary Program, we've been almost all dealing with being sick, but are starting to get better. Brennan so far as avoided anything. Jessie has been enjoying her Knights and Castles class. There's something from that she wants to post on her about, so I'll leave that for now. We learned that Brennan's teacher is LDS--interestingly enough, she has three of the four LDS third graders in her class... We're not sure how they missed the fourth. We also realized at the beginning of the year that there is at least one LDS kid in each grade of the school except for fourth. 1 5th grader (Jessie), the four 3rd graders, 2 2nd graders, 2 1st graders and at least one Kindergartner.
On Saturday Brennan got to pitch. Actually, the week before he was supposed to be the starting pitcher, but a batter and a half into the game it started pouring rain, so the game was canceled. This time he was pitching at the very end, so while he didn't go a whole inning, he did pitch most of one. He started out a little rough, but towards the end started pitching a lot of strikes. He also walked twice, scored, and stole a base.
Last night we made up the rained-out game. Brennan threw out a runner from shortstop in the first inning. Later he got a hit, moved to third on a double, and then was thrown out at home trying to score on a passed ball--but Dee thinks that he was safe. She had a good view from where she was sitting, I was coaching first base and so my view wasn't as good. I'll try to get some pictures to post soon.
Mr Wilson came up for the weekend to help with some siding repairs. We greatly appreciate his help. That's about all for now.
